90-Year-Old Woman Dies in Pedestrian Crash on Walnut Avenue near Fair Oaks BoulevardCARMICHAEL, CA (May 11, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a pedestrian crash on Walnut Avenue claimed the life of a 90-year-old woman.The incident happened on May 3rd, near the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard.According to reports, the 90-year-old woman was crossing the street outside of the crosswalk when a 20-year-old woman driving through a yellow light struck her. The impact of the collision left the woman with serious injuries.Emergency crews arrived to the site of the collision shortly afterward. Patrol Cars Slammed by SUV near University ParkwaySAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 11, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, two officers sustained injuries in a vehicle crash on Interstate 215.The incident happened on April 23rd, at around 4:30 a.m., in the northbound lanes of the freeway near the University Parkway exit.According to reports, police were in the area investigating an earlier incident. They were parked when an SUV, traveling northbound, struck the patrol car. The two officers that were in the patrol car sustained injuries as a result of the collision.Following the crash, medics transported the two injured officers to the hospital for treatment.Meanwhile, authorities took a person into custody but the charges were not yet cited by the investigators.Also, the deputies blocked all northbound lanes of the freeway during the incident. (KRON) -- Over the weekend, two dead gray whales washed ashore in the Bay Area, the Marine Mammal Center confirmed to KRON4.
