Town building new Coaldale columbarium By Nikki JamiesonSunny South NewsNew resting places will be added to the Town of Coaldale Cemetery with the completion of a capital project.The cemetery’s current columbarium – a structure that stores cremation urns – is now full, and town council has added the construction of one to its 2023 Capital Budget.Previously, during their Oct. 24, 2022 meeting, council had passed a motion for the town to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) to funeral homes in the surrounding area and then later decide if the Town of Coaldale will want to partner with the funeral homes or to undertake the project on its own.Council had considered adding a capital project for the building and operation of a columbarium – without a partner – during the 2023 capital budget deliberation, with town administration proceeding with the RFP and reporting back to council. Deputies said that the robbery occurred on July 2, 2022.Marlon Washington, 47 of Poughkeepsie, Jimy Peraltamarte, 22 of Poughkeepsie and Miguel Lora, 47 of Poughkeepsie are now facing charges. Police said Megan McDonald was murdered in March 2003. Chad Katzakian Arrested after Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Southworth Road [Wallace, CA] Suspected DUI Crash near White Owl Drive Left 66-Year-Old Lodi Man DeadWALLACE, CA (April 20, 2023) – Sunday evening, Chad Katzakian was hospitalized and arrested after a fatal motorcycle crash on Southworth Road.According to reports, the incident happened around 6:00 p.m. along Southworth Road north of White Owl Drive.Investigators said a 2004 Harley-Davidson driven by a 66-year-old man from Lodi traveled south at an unknown rate of speed. The rider lost control and went off the east shoulder, running into two barbed-wire fences and into a grass field. At the same time, 62-year-old Chad Katzakian was following the first rider and also crashed into the field.Medical responders said the first rider succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
